MCCC welcomes anyone who wishes to spend a certain length of time in her overseas mission centres. Those wishing to do so are expected to be involved in some form of useful work or simply to help out in any way as a kind of Christian witness. However, they are not expected to be skillful in any particular field but a certain amount of willingness to serve and a general sense of responsibility and maturity are expected of each volunteer. They are also expected to take part in any community chores and events, including community prayers if they are Christians.
Volunteers will be given free food, transport and lodging during the length of their stay in the country and be given a minimal allowance. However, they will have to pay for their means of getting to and from their destination and also to take care of any visa requirements of the country they intend to work in.
Those wishing to be a short-term volunteer must write to the Secretary or send an email to mccc@mc-corpuschristi.org with their personal details and also state why they wish to spend their time in the country they have vounteered for. Anyone who is below 16 years of age must also include a letter from his/her parents or guardians permitting him/her to go overseas as a volunteer and sign an indemnity form.
