OBJECTIVES
OBJECTIVE 1
To commit the members to a life of apostolic witness and service
- Members undergo a formation programme for a period of 6 months.
- Members are commissioned and sent forth at a ceremony that will take place in their own respective parish church.
- Members are expected to serve in a community at home or abroad for a period of time that is to be determined mutually.
OBJECTIVE 2
To require members to live and act as small Christian communities
- Members come together to share their lives and work with one another on a regular basis
- Members gather around the Word and Eucharist regularly
- Members live out the Gospel message on a daily basis with the people they live, work and interact with
- Members reflect and evaluate their mission in the light of the Gospel on a regular basis
OBJECTIVE 3
To empower members to create opportunities for enhancing the self-dignity of the people through various programmes and projects
- Members interact with the local community to discern the most urgent need
- Members facilitate the local community to make decisions in respond to the most urgent needs
- Members involve the local community in the implementation of the programmes and projects
