MISSIONARY COMMUNITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI
Introduction
Our Motto: All that I Am, all that We Do, all that You Are
The Missionary Community of Corpus Christi is a network of small Christian communities with the sole purpose of bearing witness to the person of Jesus Christ wherever they are planted.
It is made up of Christians -- men and women, young people and adults from every social condition -- who wish to follow Jesus Christ and cooperate in building up the Kingdom of God, bearing witness to their faith in every area of life and committed to taking the teachings of the Church into the heart of human culture to build up a more just and more fraternal society.
- It is shaped by members who gather around the Word and Eucharist in small groups
- It serves as a platform from which individuals can live out their convictions and commitments as Christians either at home or aboard
- It provides an opportunity for Christians to learn and to experience how to express their faith in community living and missionary outreach
- It supports individuals who wish to take up the challenge to go abroad to witness to Christ’s presence
- It allows individuals to take up a more responsible role as committed Christians within their own Church communities
MCCC members live and work to bring about God’s Kingdom here on earth by dedicating their lives to carrying out Jesus’ mission.
- They do this by acting as catalysts wherever they go, facilitating the growth and development of the body of Christ through the formation of cell groups gathered round the Word and Eucharist.
- They act out their role by ministering within their own parish to bring about greater mission awareness, and carrying out social and development work at home and abroad.
